On the 27th of September, DeMatha Catholic High School will have a cyber day. This is a day where teachers assign work for students to do at home. DeMatha is having this cyber day because the faculty will be having a HSPA (High School Principals Association) meeting with other schools from the Archdiocese of Washington. The reason for these meetings is for teachers to collaborate and spread useful information with each other to better educate students.
Students like cyber days for multiple reasons. When asked to give his two cents, sophomore Cameron Lamb said, “I think cyber days are good because I get to sleep in.” Other students like sophomore Elliott Kramer think “it will be good to have a break while still being able to get the work done.” Junior Spencer Woods said, “I think [the cyber day] will be a great way to catch up on late work.” Cyber days are rare at DeMatha; therefore when students do get one, they make sure to take advantage of them.
The Stags can’t wait as the highly anticipated cyber day draws near.
