As we approach the close of DeMatha’s golf season, there have been ups and downs but they have been able to win most of their games. Still trying to work things out before WCAC starts on May 7, the golf team is looking to win their 15th WCAC Championship. Midway through the season, the golf team strives to improve in every aspect they can.
The DeMatha golf team has 5 wins and 2 losses. Those two losses came against Bishop Ireton and Paul VI. Joseph Vartabedian, a freshman member of the golf team, talked about what the team struggled with during their two losses.
“PVI was our first match, and the conditions were tough as it was windy and cold,” Joseph said. “I think we lost to Bishop Ireton because we played away, and a few of us, including myself, did not play well.”
Despite their two losses, it has been a good season so far for the Stags. Hopefully their improvements during the season will put them in a good position overcome their earlier losses and capture a WCAC title.
