DeMatha’s SGA has many things they work on through the year, one of them being their Jersey Mike’s Fundraiser.
This was a huge thing throughout the school because you could get a lot of money off of your sandwiches. What was very surprising is Eli Hoppe said Jersey Mike’s came and offered it to DeMatha. When asked about how the SGA got the cards, Eli said Jersey Mike’s dropped off two boxes of the cards off at DeMatha. He assumed there were about 1,000 cards. All the cards got dropped off on Tuesday, November 19 and the fundraiser happened on the 21st.
When asked about what’s coming up in the future for SGA, Marcel Otim said they have some pretty cool experiences coming up like the auction and the winter sport pep rally highlighted by basketball, hockey, and wrestling. Eli said the SGA has had a great year and is looking to expand funds for next year.
When Eli was asked about some big things going to be auctioned off, he highlighted a football signed by the varsity football team. Marcel and Eli said they’re excited for the upcoming plans of the SGA going into 2025.
