On January 15, DeMatha held their annual National Honor Society induction, where students who apply and get accepted officially become members of the NHS and certain juniors are announced as next year’s officers.
With some students stepping into officer roles, there are also students from the senior, junior, and sophomore classes being inducted and becoming the newest members of the National Honor Society.
Junior Jack Kelly is one of these new members. “It is a great privilege to become a member of the NHS,” Kelly said after his induction.
Jesse Kliman will serve as DeMatha’s NHS president in his senior year beginning in the fall. “I feel incredibly honored to be chosen and I’m excited to lead this organization that goes back decades,” Kliman said, showing his gratitude and understanding for the greatness of the history of the NHS.
To many students, being inducted into NHS or introduced as an officer within the NHS is a high honor and privilege.
