With a month to go in the college basketball regular season there are some big names that are favorites to win the big dance in march. With the top 5 teams being Auburn (22-2) Alabama (21-3) Duke (21-3) Florida (21-3) and Tennessee (20-5). There is a close race for who will be the top 4 seeds in the 68 team bracket in march. But every year there is a select of teams that shock the world, mostly mid majors that will knock out some of the bigger teams early on but this year there is a lot of talent throughout the top 25 teams this year.
Senior Mikael Desta says “The main thing that excites me is the will and desire to win and there’s a certain sense of urgency and pride in the players and the guys are hungry and wanting to get to the next level. And I feel that in march it creates a product, and people pick up NBA contacts on how they play in the march madness tournament.”
This last stretch is what people look forward to for college basketball. The moments that the tournament creates are close to none, and this is where players make their moments and their legacy. These colleges create a Brotherhood and camaraderie whether you are 5 year player or a freshman they all have the same goal in mind and that is to make it to the NBA and it all comes together in march.
