After approximately two years of construction, DeMatha Catholic High School’s Cross Center for Engineering, Arts, and Robotics has been completed. The center is set to open and begin holding classes in the coming weeks.
Many benefactors and members of the DeMatha community were in attendance on Tuesday, September 9 to witness the dedication of the Cross Center after the opening school Mass, held earlier that day to celebrate DeMatha’s 79th anniversary.
“I feel very intrigued about the new building. I feel it is a great way for us to better our learning capabilities,” says sophomore Grant Wills. Fellow sophomore Arnold Cole added, “I am interested in attending classes in the new building, I think it will give a new learning environment separate from the main building.”
The Cross Center is DeMatha’s fifth building on campus, and the school’s first new building since the Convocation Center, which opened in October 2010.
