Dylan Byrd is a sophomore at DeMatha Catholic High School. Of the writing assignments he’s done for school, his favorite was a paper on How to Kill a Mockingbird in which he had to explain how each character was connected to a type of conflict.

Dylan is a member of the Black Student Union at DeMatha and plans to run for a role in the student council this year. He enjoys art, music, and basketball. Dylan’s favorite sports teams are the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens.
