Erling Braut Haaland is a Norwegian striker for Manchester City who has been showing his level in the Premier League. Not only has he proven himself to already be a near perfect number 9, but he is still very young and still has time to improve. At only 22 Haaland is the top scorer in the premier league. He is the youngest player to be a top scorer in the Premier League and other high-level competitions.

I asked sophomore Evan Rigg about Haaland and he said: “Haaland is a world-class player and is one of the world’s best at the moment.” Haaland not only has great shooting accuracy but he is very strong.

Haaland has impressed at all levels throughout his career, and has drawn the admiration of multiple legends who have spoken of him. Brazilian great Ronaldo Nazario said “He is an exceptional player and very young, I love how he plays.” A compliment by one of the best strikers in football history is a big achievement for Haaland. Haaland’s father Alfie Haaland who was a former Manchester City player loves to see his son play because of how passionate he is about the game. Haaland’s father was himself playing in England when Haaland was born. Although Haaland was born in England, he chose to play for his parent’s home country which is Norway.

Although he is already very talented he has more time to develop as a player. He can grow and become even better in the next couple of years. Erling Haaland is known for being a prolific goalscorer in the Premier League, and previously in the Austrian and German Leagues. In the future, he will win many awards and will be one of the top 3 players in the world. Haaland is one of the best players right now who, following up the era of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, will be one of the favorites to carry the torch, and become the sports next great goal scorer.
