Black Panther was seen as a movie that was a liberal victory; however, that may not be the case.

Marvel’s “Black Panther”, released February 18 in the US, was an undeniable success, surpassing “The Dark Knight Rises” for 20th highest grossing movie of all time worldwide in its first month. However this movie so many hailed as a momentous event for the black community came at a price: the message of the movie is pro-Trump.

Michael B. Jordan is a villian fighting for open borders and arming the oppressed, while Chadwick Boseman & Co. must come back from defeat and prevent such a “disaster” from happening. In the end, the king learns to share a little of what he has– borders, of course, still remaining closed. It should be easy to analogize this to America. Jordan is essentially asking how America can be the center of liberty, justice, and technology in the world but not share its way of life with others. Many in the modern body politick would agree! The resolution of “Black Panther” is to keep the borders closed, giving only a little help to the outside world, just like America actually does.

Who’s the hero in all this? While some may disagree over open or closed borders, background checks and border walls, the point remains that the liberal victory in having a nearly all-black cast, the end result was a large amount of them… arguing for Trump… something’s not right here. Hm. According to BBC, Mr. Trump earned about 8% of the black vote, Mrs. Clinton earning about 88%. Considering the two political giants’ stance on immigration, who should have won in “Black Panther”? Or was Wakanda just so more advanced than us that they nearly unanimously realize the importance of closed borders?
